This exhaust rain cap or rain flapper is designed to keep rain, dirt and debris from entering exhaust stacks. Simply place rain cap over outside of exhaust pipe.Seat the rain cap\'s mounting collar even with the exhaust pipe\'s opening. Tighten mounting collar\'s nut and bolt assembly to the exhaust pipe.

Exhaust gases easily push open the counterbalancedrain flapper to allow gases to escape. When engine is off and stops producing exhaust gases, the flapper returns to the seated position over the exhaust pipe\'s opening to block rain and debris from entering the exhaust pipe\'s opening.
