This is an outstanding Starburst or sunburst seed pearl brooch with a nice large old mine cut diamond. It is large measuring approx30.5mm in diameter (just under 1 1/4 inches). It has 56 beautiful sweet little seed pearls, alternating between 4 and 3 in each little branch. In the center is a beautiful sparkly old mine cut diamond. It is between .20 - 25 carats. It is hard to estimate because it has a deep cut. It has a pin back to be worn as a brooch and a small loop so you can attach a larger loop and wear it as a pendant. This is a good sized piece, it will really make a nice showing. This weighs a hefty 5.2 grams. The brooch is at least 10k and has been tested by my jeweler. This is a gorgeous piece, the seed pearls are so intricate and tiny, there is nothing like these old seed pearl pieces in my opinion. Very special. This one has fabulous size, style and a sparkly large old mine cut diamond, a very collectible beautiful Victorian piece. All pics enlarged to show details so please use a ruler to measure.
