This lovelyAmerican thimble issolid 14 Kt gold and is so marked. It has the \"Louis XV\" rim used byKetcham & McDougall and is a rare tailor style thimble. Thesize(8) ison theband but it has no maker\'s mark. It has diamond knurling and the bandhas a script monogram (G.A.C.).
The conditionis excellent, in round with no holes, dents or other damage. Itweighs 5.05 grams. The silver version of this thimble pattern isshown on p. 75 of Gay Ann Rogers\' book American Silver Thimbles.
