This piece of jewelry is so rich in its design and composition and so romantic in its shape that it is sure to capture someone\'s heart. Who would not be thrilled to receive it and wear it? It beautifully exemplifies the nexus where art and religion intersect. The hand-painted enamel figure of the Madonna, surrounded by a multitude of gold stars and crowned with a star on her forehead and a golden aura around her head, is pure romanticism. It is surrounded by a solid 14 karat yellow gold (unmarked but tested) repousse border which adds to its charm. This pendant is an antique and is in excellent condition for its age. The back bears a monogram in elegant cursive letters and the only signs of its age are a few very minor dents on its back. The pendant measures 1 1/2 inches high with the bail while the pendant portion measures 1 1/4 inches by 1 inch. The piece weighs 7.2 grams. An astounding find, it will come in a sparkly pouch inside of one of my signature boxes, perfect for gift-giving.
