C. 1660-1680, most likely Spanish. This beautiful, museum quality piece of jewelry is constructed of a high karat gold and foil backed table cut rubies. A hand chiseled fleur-de-lis design ties the head of the ring to the shank, while a beaded detail creates a frame around the center stone & the cluster. Because the condition of the ring is exceptional, the fine quality and craftsmanship can easily be seen & appreciated. The ruby cluster measures 3/4\" x 5/8\". The ring is a size 10.5 .
