DESCRIPTION: We are pleased to offer this AntiqueDovetailed English Copper Tea Kettle circa 1800s for your consideration. The fine dovetailing on the antique teapot isshown on the back of the pot and the seams are brazed (using molten brass like glue)for a perfect seam (see photos). Dovetailingrequires extraordinary skill acquired through long, dedicated practice. It isso difficult that you can generally assume a dovetailed piece really is anantique. It would hardly be worth the effort to fake it today. The Antique TeaKettle has a riveted bronze extensions extending from the copper grip. TheCopper Handle on the Teapot is set high and with a wide rolled handle. There isa beautifully detailed acorn finial on the lidded top of the English AntiqueCopper Teapot. This Antique English Teapot pours with a nice strong stream andis clean inside. There is a copper rimthat circles the opening of the teapot. The inside of the Antique Tea Kettle istin lined and free from corrosion. The entire body of the Antique Tea Kettle ismade of copper. The Antique Copper English Teapot has a beautiful curved goose-neckpouring spout. The English Antique Tea Kettle has an age appropriate patina andminor imperfections from decades of use and wear (see photos).
