Antique 1800s Chauncey Jerome & CO steeple cathedral gothic style mantel clock. Made from mahogany wood. Measures 20\" tall x 10\" side x 4\" deep. Clock winds but does not keep time. The pendulum will swing but stops after a few minutes. You can hear it ticking briefly. The only damage I can find is a small hole on the back, although it is where a woodknot came out because the whole is angled. I can not confirm if this clock is 100% original but the clock mechanism is markedC. Jerome NewHaven, ConnUSA. The clockface is tin and has a small newer silver screw holding it in at the top. There is paint missing for the face. The pendulum andgothic springare intact, but again unsure if they areoriginal. There is a paper label that alsoappears to be originalas seen inothers that have sold online... again unsure. The door panel has very old glass with waves and bubbles on the top panel and etched acid glass with a heart motif on the bottom panel. There is no cracks in the glass. There is a brass latch that is intact. It is from a 90+ year estate that included many other mantel and case clocks. It comes with a butterfly key. Overall, a very beautiful clock with I\'m sure hasamazing history.
