Offered for sale is this amazing and very rare store display mirror from the 1800s. It is all original. It is made of beveled glass in a darkened metal frame, it has a metal easel back with the words, J.N. Ward & Co Royal Pantaloons The Best in the World, under painted on the mirror. It measures 6\" tall and 4\" wide. It has flower pattern imprinted on the back. The easel back works perfectly. No breaks, chips or repairs, a few dark dots and a little spot of darkening around the bottom left corner. Very good condition for a piece over 100 years old. See photos. This was very likely used in a women\'s department store during the Victorian era. From my research J.N. Ward was a company that made corsets, pantaloons and other undergarments during the 1800s until about 1907. In my 25 years plus of selling and buying antiques I have only seen one example similar to this one. But, the mirror didn\'t have any advertising or words painted on it.
