This is an antique, stunning,and beautifully shaped Dinner Set of 42 pieces. It was manufactured around the1850s by Fischer & Mieg Porzellanfabrik in Bohemia, now located inCzechoslovakia. The elegant white porcelain features a sparkling glaze, scallopededges with hand-painted light-blue trim, and a dainty, detailed, delightfulmulti-colored floral design.

The set consists of thefollowing:

·12 Dinner Plates - 9 5/8”

·8 Soup Plates - 9 3/8”

·9 Salad Plates - 7 7/8”

·1 Oval Serving Platter - 14 ½” x 9 ¼”

·1 Oval Serving Platter - 16 ¾” x 11 1/8”

·1 Round Serving Platter - 11 1/2” diameter

·1 Round Serving Platter - 12 5/8” diameter

·2 Round Serving Bowls - 9 7/8” diameter

·1 Square Serving Bowl - 10 ¾” x 10 ¾”

·1 2-piece footed Gravy Server (with Cover)- 6½” x8”

·1 2-piece footed Soup Tureen (with Cover) - 10”x 12”

·1 footed Condiment Server on Pedestal - 3 ½” x2 7/8”

·1 Condiment Plate - 7 1/4” diameter

Like on most antiqueporcelain items, the manufacturer’s mark of an impressed “F & M” is not always readily visible on the underside, butalmost all the pieces carry the number 1861,which I assume is the pattern number.

This Dinner Set has been inmy Family for generations and was brought to the U.S. in the 1990s. There aretwo small chips on the handles of the Gravy Server and Soup Tureen (please seephotos), which can easily be painted over with a light-blue porcelain marker.Other than that, the Set is in remarkable condition for its age ofapproximately 170 years, with only some minor surface wear consistent with ageand storage. Collectors of antique china would be instantly taken by its beautyand elegance!

PS.:Fischer & Mieg Porzellanfabrik was founded in 1802 and its ownershipchanged several times within the family. In 1908 it was sold at sale but thename remained Fischer & Mieg. Today, part of the factory is operated as ThunKarlovarský Porcelán AS Zavod Vujk (Carlsbad in English) for the Porcelain ResearchInstitute, and the rest of the factory is still in operation today asArtporcel, sro Manufaktura Pirkenhammer.
