You\'re offerding on an elegant antique, matching four-piece silverplated coffee or tea service - coffee/tea pot, creamer, sugar and an urn type piece. Interesting in that it has both the \"Meriden B\" scale mark of Meriden Britannica and the Rogers Bros. marks on the bottoms - Meriden bought Rogers in 1862 and I suspect that they may have been existing Rogers pieces that were overstamped with the Meriden mark after the acquisition, which would roughly date the pieces. They also have a \"2104\" style number mark. Nice, formal mid-Victorian period look.
Good overall condition for age and type - Note that the soldering attaching the teapot lid hinge to the base is visible - I think this might be original to the piece, not a repair, but it\'s kind of primitive so I felt the need to point it out - see photo. Some light scratch wear from age and cleaning, and the creamer and urn pieces exhibit some light pitting in the open top collars - overall bright and lustrous, though, and not all dinged up. Note that they all have a monogram engraved into the front sides - I think it\'s an \"H\", but it\'s so ornate that I can\'t tell - it might be a \"G\" or a \"K\". Generally clean on the insides and ready for service.
Coffee/tea pot is about 7 1/2\" tall and 11 1/2\" max handle-to-spout width; creamer and urn are both 6 1/4\" tall, creamer is 5 3/4 max width and urn is about 6 1/4\" wide handle-to-handle. Sugar, with lid, is 6 1/4\" tall and 8\" wide handle-to-handle.
