An interesting antique pair of Victoriantri-colorgold filled or gold platedmens\' cufflinks by ACME. The face has an embossed \"rope\" design (possibly a love knot). The surface of the face consists in parallel bands of multi-colored gold fill (or plate). The cufflinks are marked ACME on both sides of each stem and PAT. AUG. 24. 1880 on the reverse of each backing. The hinged (spring-loaded) backings flip from perpendicular to parallel to the stem.Please look at photos carefully,they arean integral part of the description and condition.
Condition: Fine antique condition, with age appropriate wear. Moderate wear on exposed areas, with wear-through of the gold fill on some edges and high spots. Backing hinges work well. A neat collectible pair.
