Offered for sale is this beautiful victorian 1882 Dresden D-778 Mantle or Shelf Clock with Ansonia Movement and Pendulum. It is an 8 day clock with both hour and half hour chime. The back states Cathedral Bell Strike and the works are marked Ansonia June 1882. The face is not marked and it does have a crack but the glass cover is fine. There is crackling on the porcelain, as shown, but no chips or cracks that I noticed in the lovely handpainted flower covered body. There is also some residue on the back from tape that will require cleaning off. It was made expressly for the American Wringer Co. of New York. It measures about 14" wide, 11" tall and 4 1/2" deep with a wooden base. This clock worked and chimed well when I was taking photos but cannot guarentee that it will continue. There is no key with this piece but there is an 1 1/2" diameter pendulum. Because of the age, it is sold "as is". Keep in mind this is an extremely heavy piece and free to email your zip for a price quote before offerding.
