Antique 1884 \"The Merchant of Venice\" illustrated children\'s book - byPeter G. Thomson, Publisher, Cincinnati, OH. \"Little Folks Shakspeare Series\" (that\'s not a misspelling on my part- that\'s the way the name is spelled onthe front cover - see pic).The cover is fully detached - but the rest of the book is bound together with string! Someone apparently tried to tape the left edge many years ago - but it didn\'t hold. I opened the book very gently in order to take all the pics.The pages have a little spotting - but the illustrations arebeautiful - vibrant colors! The large illustration in the middle (two pages) has some wear - not too bad - still beautiful. Please see the pics! Minor wear also on the lower left corner of the last illustration in the book - just touches the corner of the illustration itself. Again, please see pics. The rest of the illustrations are untouched! This book measures 10.5\"long and9\" wide. This book belonged to my great-grandparents - and has been in the family ever since. Smoke-free home! I am posting this at a lower price in light of the condition.
