Up for sale is a lovely Charles May Solid Silver and Glass Perfume Bottle made in Birmingham in 1887.

Theelaboratelydecoratedtop screws on nicely and fits well. It is properly hallmarked with the lion and anchor and date mark along with the makers mark for Charles May. See picture 3

It has two or three small chips justalong the bottom edge of the bottle, no cracks; in picture 2 you can see them against the black background, but theydo not detract from the beauty of the piece.
