Here we have abeautifulantique sterling cap mounted gentleman\'s walking cane from Arthur W. Ware & Co. of New York City.

It is in the form of a gentleman\'s full dress cane withL-shape bent wood handle finished with a smooth fully hallmarked sterling cap.

The hard wood shaft is believed to be partridge, the wood grain is super visible and sharp, the surface is still glossy.

This gentleman\'s dress cane feels great in the hand, the handle measures 3 3/4\" long approximately13/16\" round.

It is complete with the correct 1890-1910 period two piece, nickle plated brass ferrule with thick rounded iron tip.

The shaft is straight & sturdy, itmeasures35 3/4\" long and tapers from13/16\" (21mm) at sterling cap to 1/2\" at iron of ferrule.

On the bottom of thesmooth sterling cap mount is the Arthur W. Ware & Co 4 leaf clover hallmark with AWW Co. within the leaves.

This antique dress cane shows only light wear, there is some light sickness in the sterling and few light dents in the cap.

There is sporadic light surface scratching on the shaft and two areas where early wood filler was used.

The ferrule is correct for this period and has a nice patina with only light wear on the rounded iron tip.
