Offered for your offerding is an AMERICAN HOWARD STERLING CO OF RHODE ISLAND sterling silver tea & coffee service in the Regence style This elegant service - comprising: teapot/coffee pot, sugar bowl, and creamer - was hand-crafted in heavy solid silver fineness and is fully hallmarkedH with a cloverleaf in the middle followedL(see photos). The spouts all feature a Regence style scrolled shell detail, and the teapot/ coffee pot have original hand-carved rosewood handles. Interiors of all pieces are very clean. The outside needs polishing but after 110 yrs its expected. my assesment of maker is by other adds and peoples input if you know something i dont please let me know. The pot stands 8 1/2 in tall x 8 in wide, the cream and sugar is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 and 4 x 5 inches the tray measures 12in x 12 in lots of silver at a weight of 1276 grams 2 pounds 13 ozs This beautiful antique was saved at sale from sale to a scrapper who would have melted this beautiful piece of art.
