Rare Spanish American War Card Game!
Description
Up for sale is an Antique Hood’s War Game U.S. Vs Spain! This is a very rare card game in its original box! The cards cite battles and commanders of the Spanish American War! It was published circa 1898 by C.I. Hood & Company in Lowell, Massachusetts… the company which produced Hood’s Pills & Tooth Powder and Sarsaparilla, with each card advertising “Hood’s Sarsaparilla Is the Best Money Can Buy!” with the 45-star US Flag. This set includes 47 playing cards (originally 52 cards) and is missing the instructions insert. The cards are normal playing card size, measuring about 3½” x 2½”. As shown in the photos, the game cards are in very good condition with some play wear and creasing. The box is in good shape with bright color graphics and some storage wear, including some paper and color loss. The box bottom is missing one edge, and the box top has a split corner and torn side. This antique “Hood’s War Game” card game would make a great addition to your collection!
