Thisunique antique diamond ring features a brilliant round solitaire diamond of old style European cut.
Old European cut diamonds were hand-worked, and have 58 facets which allow more light to enter the diamond.
They don\'t look like today\'s gems, as this cut shows broader reflective bands of brilliance and color reflecting back into the eye.
Each European cut diamond is unique, having more personality and distinct beauty than modern diamonds.
The European cut began to disappear around the turn of the century.
The ring is 18K white gold, and has an interesting art deco style design.
The diamond measures 6.9mm by 4.5mm, and is 1.32 carats.
It is VS2 clarity, and of G color ~ nearly colorless. The 18K stamp appears inside of the band.
The design on each side displays rectangular cut outs where large baguettes could be placed if one desires to add them.
The ring is size 10.5, and can be resized by a jeweler if needed. It weighs 6.6 grams total.
