A Handsome early 18th century Italian Etching measuring 59 x 39 cm (23.25 x 15.25 in. approx.)unframed on antique laid paper, margins with plate marks all around; entching entitled \"Cena di Cristo del Tintoretto nella Chiesa de SS. Geruaso e Protaso detto S. Trouaso in Venezia\" ANDREA ZUCCHI, (1679-1740) engraver with typical center fold, soft crease lower left corner - a rare find fresh from an old estate collection - and offered without reserve
Stampa antica\"L\'Ultima Cena\"Meravigliosa incisione all\'acquaforte che riproduce un quadro di Tintoretto,oggi conservato nella Chiesa di S. Trovaso a Venezia. Incisa da Andrea Zucchi da un disegno di Silvestro Manaigo. Rappresenta l\'Ultima cena, ma con una vitalitànella scena molto rara per i canoni del tempo. Quasi tutto è in movimento,Gesù ha appena annunciato il Tradimento, e Giuda (l\'Apostolo che prende il fiasco da terra) nellatela originale è l\'unico senza aureola.

The Last Supper . Wonderful etching engraving that reproduces a painting by Tintoretto , now preserved in the Church of S. Trovaso in Venice. Engraved by Andrea Zucchi from a drawing by Silvestro Manaigo. Represents the Last Supper, but with a vitality in the scene very rare for the canons of the time. Almost everything is moving, Jesus has just announced the Betrayal, and Judas (the Apostle who takes the fiasco from the ground) in the original canvas is the only one without a halo. Exemplary in good condition, with usual central fold. Engraved by Andrea Zucchi (Venice 1679 - Dresden 1740), from a drawing by Silvestro Manaigo around 1720. Measurement of the engraved part 39 x 59 cm.
