I came across several antique string instruments from a recent estate of a local musician. I am not an expert on string musical instruments and will describe them as good as I can. Thank you and please see my other sales for the other musical instruments from the same estate.

This sale is for an antique violin made by Salvadore de Durro and is a Antonius Stradivarius model. Dates from 1901 and has two tags on the inside of the body. One with the makers name and the other with the model name and year manufactured. Comes with velvet lined, leather wrapped hard case. Violin is in very nice original condition with no cracks, no repairs or broken parts. Has a couple surface scratches and nicks to the edge of the body. Ebony fret board and all the tuning pegs are in great shape. The case has some normal wear from over the years but opens and closes as it should and is in nice shape. Violin measures approx. 23 3/4\" long. Rare antique violin and is a must for any collector. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 90 year estate and was safely stored away for years. Please check my other sales for other antique items from the same estate. The glare spots are from the lights reflection and NOT on the actual surface of the item.
