Russian Antique Imperial Ruby glass icon-lamp
Russian Antique (1902) Imperial Ruby glass icon-lamp (Lampadka)
was a gift from the Imperial family to
loyalists of the Russian monarchy.
It was given as a gift, by members of the Imperial
family, especially the Empress, and Grand Duchess when visiting
hospitals, schools and charitable institutions.
This icon-lamp was
a gift given on behalf of the Russian Empress, and included her initials. It
was presented in person by Her Majesty-
Feodorovna Romanoff ('Dagmar of Denmark' - widow of Emperor Alexander III, mother of the last Russian
Emperor Nicolas II).
Antique 1902 Russian Icon Ruby glass oil icon-lamp (lampadka) used to
light the icons.
Ruby glass with decorative ornaments
and three knobs for hanging chains.Includes
metal chain and brass (suspended plinth) hanging hook.

Made at the Imperial Glass Factory in St Petersburg, period of
Czar Nicholas II.
Condition: Showing light long-term corrosion and patina on the
brass, as expected due to use and
red glass in excellent condition.
No chips, cracks, repairs or restoration.
