This charming German set was produced for 15 years, from 1908 to 1923. It was made in two different sizes with two different-colored backgrounds, red and blue. All of the pieces depict a little girl\'s head growing out of the middle of a yellow flower. On the cups, saucers and teapot, the image is surrounded by decorative leaf garlands that are quite beautiful. Pieces from both the red and blue sets are included in this sale.
There are a total of 12 pieces in this sale: two red cups, two blue cups, one red saucer, four blue saucers, teapot and lid (two pieces) and one red tray. Most of the blue set is in good to excellent condition, while the red set, except for the tray, has more flaws. In fact, I don\'t think the blue set was ever used. The pieces are unmarked.

CONDITION:Red cups: There is a lot of spotting and some paint loss on both cups; one has more damage than the other.Blue cups: There are a number of very small areas of paint loss, but they don\'t greatly interfere with the image. One cup has a dent and is bent slightly out of round.Red saucer: There is lot of spotting on the center image so that it is now hard to read. The border is in better shape.Blue saucers: All saucers have small areas of paint loss, as well as some dings and dents. One of them also has a little wear. However, they all display well.Teapot and lid: Although there are a number of small areas of paint loss, the teapot is in beautiful condition. (Most of the paint loss is on the blue background, below the spout). The lithos are still shiny and bright, and the lid, too is in very good condition. What\'s interesting about the lid is that it wasn\'t centered when it was cut out, as the blue circle is off-center.Tray: There is spotting, a few small areas of rust and rim wear. However, the tray still displays very well.
