It is not often you find a 108 year old crystal regulator like this. Elegant and gleaming, it is a pleasure to look at. When you look at the inside you find it has the Seth Thomas No. 48S fine round rack and snail strike 8 day movement. The key is included.
This is a rare, hard to find, antique Seth Thomas Empire No. 1 crystal regulator mantel clock. This is the 1908 catalog version of the Empire No. 1. It is 10 inches tall and factory equipped with a 4 inch convex cream porcelain dial with arabic numerals. It is complete with the original signature Seth Thomas blued steel skeleton spade hands and the original brass finish. The beveled glass is in excellent condition and is much thicker than later models! The clock also has the original beautiful ornate faux mercury pendulum.
This clock has run excellently for a few years but recently stopped working. I think it just needs a cleaning. Please note sometimes clocks have to be adjusted to be put back into beat after shipping. However I will pack the clock with extra protection to offer the best shipping experience.
