Very nice 1908 Sterling Silver Open Face Waltham pocket watch in excellent running condition with Railroad Engine / Train detail on the back in copper. As stated in the Condition Description, this watch has been running accurately over the past 48 hours. As with any pocket watch that\'s over 100 years old, I\'m sure this watch will benefit from a professional cleaning / maintenance to ensure it continues to run strongly.
I carefully,painstakingly cleaned / polished the FAHYS sterling 925/1000 case using a non abrasive, non toxic, Environmentally friendly compound. This is a product used by many of the top silver restorers to safely bring back the original finish to sterling silver objects. The case looks amazing! All the numbers on the 3 sterling case parts are matching, so all are original to the watch.There is one tiny \"ding\" on the case back, a few tiny marks and the Railway Train on the back shows a bit of loss to the original detailing (still looks nice). The white porcelain 24 hour roman numeral dial looks sharp showing a few light/tight hairlines and a small chip near the number 60 of the small seconds dial (please see photos).
