This sale is for a rather rare antique electric Master Motor made by The Master Electric Company of Dayton Ohio. This motor still runs but has been used as a display piece only. Motor was tested upon purchase years ago (running with 110 volts), then disassembled, parts media blasted, treated, primed and painted, etc., and then mounted for display purposes (Sorry, Looks better in person then in these washed-out pictures). The brush holders are showing their age with crazing, etc., but are still working. Everything else is in good shape! Even though this is a running motor, it\'s probably best suited for a display item and as with ALL my antique/vintage electrical items, this is being sold AS IS. This motor dates to about late 1919 to 1920-21. Designed by Everett P. Larsh in 1919 when he was with the Monarch Engineering Company as their consulting engineer and was then sold under the name of \"Master Motor\" that year from the Monarch Engineering Company. He was also the factory manager for Dayton Fan and Motor Company that year until the following year when he founded the Master Electric Company and made this motor briefly while under the same \"Master Motor\" name but now under the Master Electric Company. Please see picture for motor specifications. This motor weighs in at about 25.15 lbs. as pictured.
