We have selected these O. Henry volumes from our shelves of antique and vintage books we purchased at a family estate sale. The estate was a multi-generational family featuring a home built in the late 19th century. These are in very good condition, hence their selection. There are 13 volumes all dated 1920 and published by Doubleday, Page & Company, Garden City and New York.

Most volumes have just one 1st edition copyright date. These copyrights range from 1903-1912 with one being 1917. We will allow the pictures to inform you of the titles of the volumes, rather than make this description even longer. They are bound in soft red leather.

There is an owner signature on the inside page following the front boards. A couple have the same signature on the first page following the back board. This is not a shabby, lose page, wrinkled, creased and stained set of volumes. There is the expected foxing, albeit light, and some ruffling around the top and bottom of the spines. The pages are not separated from the spines. A couple show a slight separation of the front board from the spine.

O. Henry.O. Henry(1862 - 1910) was born under the name William Sydney Porter in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1862. This American Short Story writer has a rich canon and his short stories are well known throughout the world; noted for their witticism, clever wordplay, and unexpected twist endings.
