1920\'s Brevete Vanity Purse

This is a combo purse with a compact incorporated into the lid!

These purses are hard to come by. They are so collectiable because of all their fantastic shapes.

These purses are shown in many collector books and most come from France.

Shown in two of my books... Vanity Bags & Purses and Vintage Compacts & Beauty Assc.

No repairs or alterations on this purse.

Accented with gold plate trim

The lid opens to reveal a  powder compact. Very clear original mirror with slight wear mark.

The hinges and clasps work well. 

.

The interior bottom inside the purse is marked \"Brevete\" in gold lettering.

 

The purse body measures just under 4 inches tall.

I note a black mark on the gold trim shown in picture 14.

***One thing I want to point out is that I have noticed with most of these black suede and doe
skin purses is that the black die tends to transfer off. Due to the age or type of dye used.
I would note that this is very minor with this purse.
