This is a very unusual and rare doll, an antique composition and cloth 19\" baby doll with the molded Loop place for a Bow on the head. She is marked Metropolitan on the back of her shoulder plate. She has a composition head on shoulder plate, arms and legs and a clean cloth body in bice condition with a non working crier. Her blonde or reddish painted hair is deeply molded and darling with a pink bow in the loop. Her face is nice and shiny with rosy cheeks, pretty mouth and painted blue eyes with brows present. There is a minor nose rub and I see no crazing or cracking on the face, except for 1 slight craze mark in left eye. She has deeply molded reddish blonde hair with a side part and waves at the sides and back. Some paint rubs but not to detract and the loop is intact with a vintage bow there. Her darling pink outfit is as follows. 100% pink cotton with very full skirt on the dress and vintage cotton off white lace in ruffles around bottom and up the back, yoke, sleeves and neck with wee button closures intact. Under that is a white batiste vintage blouse and pink matching lace trimmed drawers. Over all is a pink and white eyelet coat with lace trimmed pocket, ribbon tie and lace trim. It is lined in the same pink cotton as the dress. This is a perfect go together 3 pieced outfit. White cotton stockings and someone has made her black patent shoes. No holes or tears in clothing and nice and clean. The body: Problems with the body are cracks, paint loss and crazing on the legs, which are covered with the white stockings, and the arms are poor condition with missing paint, although the fingers are intact.
