Here is a absolutely gorgeous antique burnished gilt gold oval beveled mirror. It is wood with compo/gesso overlay in ornate decorations. It has then been finished with a burnished gilt gold overlay.This overlay makes it \' glow \' on you wall.The entire mirror measures 22 3/4 x 26 1/4 ins. The back rabbet insert ( if you use it for a frame instead), is 18 3/4 x 23 ins. approx.The mirror is very heavy, has a beveled mirror and French style compo on the surround. It is in good as is vintage condition with some minor chips to the compo/gesso, some minor cracks in the finish but not anything too bad for age. I would place this mirror in the late 1880-90s time period.
