Here is a HUGE heavy antique wood and compo/gesso picture frame. The entire frame measures 30 x 39 in. and the back rabbet insert size is 20 1/4 x 30 1/4 in. It had a 20 x 30 in painting in here originally that has sold. The art that was in here previously was from 1870.The frame is in fair/good as is vintage condition. It has some typical cracks in the compo,some wear/chips to the paint and some old( probably 50+ years ago), re-paint of certain spots on the frame. The corners are heavy compo/gesso ornamentation of morning glory flowers and seashells.It has a scratch to the wood at the bottom right inner liner,other minor places of damage.Please enlarge and look at all pictures to see if condition suits you.Because of the massive size and weight of this frame be aware that ship costs will reflect how much packing materials will be needed and the size of the box. Local pick-up is possible if you would like to do that please let me know.Perfect for Victorian,Edwardian,Traditional ,and late 1800s decors.
