This is a lovely antique Christening gown with the most lovely hand made Ayrshire lace and white work. Amazing tiny hand work stitches. The front panel of gown has ruched layers and lace. The gown is loaded with the tiniest little perfect pin tuck rows. The buttons are perfectly carved shells..so tiny! It is 36 inches long from shoulder to hem. Sleeves are 9 inches long...shoulder seam to seam is 10 inches. The sweep of gown is 50 inches around. The gown has some minor flaws. There is a tiny speck size tear as shown. There is a couple spots on it. The left side horizontal row of lace that goes down the front panel. has been removed. It is a work of art .Wonderful display or make wonderful things with it
