Antique 19th C. Indian School Carved Hanuman & Vishnu / Deity Sandalwood Box:

This is a19th centuryIndian school Sandalwood box. Craved with figures to the lid & birdsto the sides.

CONDITION There is variation in the colour of the wood & a build up of dust in the deeply carved designs. There are also some small losses to the carving on the edges of the lid, & a small section from the edge of the base - see photo.

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
