Just out of a nice estate contents - Here is one of the finestAntique Persian Silver Inlaid Plate / Tray that we have sold in quite sometime. It is just magnificent - datingappox. (1890 to 1920 ) possible earlier - museum or near museum quality.

The work and craftsmanship are just simply amazing. Hand chased - hand set inlaid with amazing patterns - hand carved or engrave work and tons of it. Main metal is beautiful brass that has a gold hue to it - there is a large amount of very ornate silver inlaid work and the silver is accented with copper.Center features a wonderful Eastern star in both silver and copper inlay - then 6 panels with very ornate designs and rarer stunning kufic script these panels are encircled or framed with inlay copper and the script is inlaid silver with ornate backgrounds - the entire center plate area then is encircled with an interlacing 1/2\" wide outer band. The outer rim area is just as impressive as the center area featuring 12 different ornate silver inlaid panels with ornate backgrounds and again accented with with fine inlaid copper to highlight the silver inlay work. Outer rim has some slight curving or unevenedge which is consistent with age.

Measures: ( 11.5\" inches W sits high about 1/4\" and has a circumference of about 32 1/2\" inches round ). Condition: ( Antique - nice backside natural aged patina - amazing polished frontside - a very small pen tip size of the silver is missing - in our opinion it is in overall very good condition - ask all questions prior to purchase it is and estate item - final sale ). All in all you are the expert.
