This is an original periodcarving and dates ca. 1840 or older. The carved Santosfigurine probably depicts Saint Francis of Assisi.The carving still has quite a bit remains of poly-chrome. It shows minor wear as it is missing one finger on its right hand and left arm repaired (hardly visible). For its age it is in excellentshape (as very few are). It is 10½ inches or 26½ cm tall including thebase, 8 inches or 20½ cm without the base. The width is 5½ inches or 13 cm.
