This is a wonderful example of a Antique Chinese Famille Verte Tea Caddy which has been executed with much expertise in its design and such a colourful border on the shoulders. This specimen has realistic artwork in the portrayal of this story. The condition of this Tea caddy is virtually perfect just a minuscule fleabite on the inner lip of jar, firing burn on the rim base , also a glaze run vertically on side of jar ( between end of fence and horse).(see last 2 photos) the elaborate cover whilst not being its original one does have some merit and is a good firm fit and is made from Yew wood. The height of this caddy is 16.5 cms the diameter being about 12.5 cms the weight is 562 grams without the packaging. If you require further photos or more information please email.
