For sale is a very attractive large tea pot made in France in the early 19th century most likely by Valentine or Bayeux. It is hand painted with stylized flowers with an Asian flair to them, some blue ground color with gold designs over it as well as a superb dragon finial. The teapot has a figural / animal head spout. Truly a very decorative piece to have around! The piece is in perfect condition! The lid is too big and loose and odd fitting - maybe from a sugar dish?? Not sure. Displays perfectly and certainly a more fun piece than most. The teapot is not marked which is fairly normal to French porcelain of this period! It is 6.75 inches tall, 9.25 inches long and has a diameter of 5.5 inches. Sorry about the pictures - still learning the ins and outs of the new camera - the colors are much nicer in person!
