Here we have anAntique 32-1/2\" Long \'MASSIVE\', Heavy, Timber Framing, Shipbuilding Socket Chisel Slick, 4\" Wide Edge.There is no Maker\'s mark on this slick. As you can see the huge blade has two Blacksmith forging \'fold marks\' : one at the top of the blade where it meets the socket and another one halfway up the socket. There are typical of Blacksmith metalworking. The flat blade has marks and areas that were attacked by corrosion over the years but it is in sound condition. The 4\" wideedge is sharp but should betuned up by the new owner before use.The chisel socket is in good condition. The slick handle is very nicely turned and probably a replacement. There are no cracks butit does hace a few inactive worm holes. The slick it tight on the handle. The slick measures 17-3/4” and the handle is 14-3/4\"L for a total of 32-1/2\" L . No owner\'s marks. Heavy tool at 6 lbs. 13 oz. !!
