GORGEOUS!Very Large, Rare and Lovely SFBJ - French Doll!
Another one of my mother\'s dolls that needs to find a home. She is a big and beautiful French doll. She needs a good cleaning as she has been sitting in a chair for many years. Frankly, I\'m afraid to clean her! She stands at 34\" tall. Her hat may be original, but is in very poor condition. Her clothes are what my mother bought her clothed in over 25 years ago, but they are not original. The coat is a Victorian baby coat and is quite nice but needs a washing. Her lace dress looks okay but not appropriate for the dress of the time. Her shoes are leather, but again, not of the period. Her wig is original but is pretty messy. I\'m sure that someone could make it look better than it does. There does not appear to be any cracks or fractures anywhere on her head, although one of her eyes seems to drift inward a bit. (see photos) The torso seems more worn than the limbs. There is a dime size hole under her arm that is plugged with cork. No fingers missing. The original pate is gone and styrofoam is being used at the top of her head for placement of wig. My mother paid over $1700 for her many years ago...but, there is .
