A Japanese Edo period Kanei 1 mon bronze coinminted in Tokyo around 1668. It is cast of solid bronze. With exception to aa small casting flaw (tiny hole), this coin is in verygoodcondition. Having the characters, \"KAN\'EI TSUUHOU\" on the front and \"BUN\" on the back. It isa very goodstrike and an excellentexample of this very collectible Japanese coin with little wear.

The characters are very clear and readableand has all original patina. It is in the traditional \"cash coin\" style featuring a round coin with a square center hole. The round is said to represent heaven, while the square represents the earth, thus the coin is a perfect combination of heaven and earth.
