I am estimating this painting to be from the late 19th century to early 29th century. It was found in a New England estate, with some rolling hills in the background, it could be from the White Mountains or WesternMassachusetts. The painting has a nice muted or diffused tonal quality of light throughout thepainting. It is in overall good condition. Under a black light it shows no signs of in-painting or repair, it does have a small surface scratch near the areaaround the tree stump (see images). This small blemish is part of its honest history, when viewed from a normal distance, it is barely noticeable. Unframed the painting measures 11\" in height x 9\" wide and together with the antique wooden frame (which is included) itmeasures 15\" x 13\". Thevintage frame is on overall very good condition has some minor surface abrasions consistent with its age.
