The American Doll Companywas owned and operated by Bayless Bros. & Co. of Louisville, KY.
The doll\'s head is a moldedcompositionwith painted golden-orange molded curly hair...No Holes or cracks, but there is paint loss and crazing.
What makes this doll model truly unique is thedisproportional arms...they are original to the doll.
The eyes are decals and have some peeling.
The dolls body and legs are straw filled cloth....no stains or mold. The legs are join to the body with steel shims and wire.
The best part of this doll is the under sized arms. They look 3-times, too, small.
The dress is a light muslin type fabric and isoriginal. Ithas a few small holes and is held on by safety pins in the back. Also, it is stained from age.
The under pants are original, too....I\'m not sure about the leggings...the socks fit like they are original and probably are.
If you are looking for a mint condition perfect 90 year-old doll....this is not it.
