Here is a wonderful example of a late 19th century American folk art carved miniature stone book. This one has nice bold stylistic decoration with what I can assume is the Carver\'s name. The book measures 2 7/8 inches long, 1 3/4 inches wide and just over an inch wide. Condition is fine, with one small corner chip as shown. Nice age and patina. Great example of this form of American folk art.
