Description:This is a beautiful Anglo-Indian lidded box/casket. It was made in Kashmir and is hand painted on all sides. It is decorated all over with Kashmiri motifs- like a gorgeous patterned carpet. It is highly ornate and minutely detailed- there are gold highlights and the entire box is painted with bright jewel colours. The lid is shaped as can be seen, with curved edges and a stepped top.This is a fascinating and very beautiful box and will be a great find for the right person.
Condition:Very good condition. There are some small chips to the paint- but basically it is excellent.
Measurements:The box measures 26.5 cm by 9.5 cm and 8.5 cm in depth.
