This sale is for an Antique Anglo-Irish Cut Crystal Compote circa1850.

The Compote, which measures approximately 7 3/4 inches tall and 7 inches across the bowl, is invery goodcondition with no cracks or repairs and only one small shallow shell shaped chip to the inside edge of the bowl (very difficult to see due to the cutting of the edge) plus there are some light scratches to the base (no scratchesto the bowl).

The compote weighs 1 lb. 15 oz.

The base of the compote has radiating cuts and the inside of the stem has a long hollow tear drop shaped bubble.

Unfortunately the photos don\'t show it well, but the entire compote with the exception of the inside of the bowl and the top of the foot is fully cut - the outside of the bowl has a bevel edged and there are 8 pedal like cuts on the bottom side of the bowl running down the full lenght of the stem.
