Description
This is a very nice antique Ansonia Cast Iron Mantle Clock that is in working condition. The clock is 11" tall x 13-1/2" wide x 5-1/2" deep. This was an estate find and I have not done any type of restoration to the clock. It appears to be all original.
There is some loss of gold gilding on the brass or spelter pieces and the case shows some age but has not been abused or damaged. The bezel portion that opens is a little loose and appears to have had a repair done to it. As you can see from the pictures the dial is beautiful. All this sounds much worse than it actually is. Please see the photos for a better idea of condition.
The clock has an 8 day movement that chimes on the half and full hour with a very nice rich sounding chime or gong. The movement is signed Ansonia Clock Company Ansonia, New York. This is a very nice clock that in my opinion still looks very nice as it is. For those that would like to restore the clock this would be a great restoration project.

Items being sold for parts or restoration have in many cases not been tested. I cannot guarantee funtionality of these items. If I am able to test an item this will be noted in the listing. There are no returns on items being sold for parts or restoration.
Items being sold as new may sometimes be mising the original box and or paperwork. This is in most cases due to the item having been a store display. In this case it will be noted in the listing. Otherwise if the item states new it is still in the original box with all corresponding paperwork.
Payment is expected within 3 days of the listing being completed. Our system will automatically file non-paying buyer notification for all items not paid for in a timely manner. At this point I reserve the right to relist the item or offer it to the second highest buyer.
