This is a stunning Ansonia Figural mantle Clock on a black marble base.. Thedetailed figural Philosopher man is wearing a robe and holding a protector inhis hand and appears to be contemplating something.

The piece has a separateround escapement adjacent to the figural with ornate leaves and scrolls and a Urnfinal.. The Clock has a white enameled face with black roman numerals, Stamped AnsoniaClock Co Patented and glass bezel with gold trim. The movement is stamped AnsoniaClock co patent June 14 1881 New York N Y USA and patent June 13 1882, it willhave a key.

Condition Amazing shape for the age, Working, some marks on the dial, and sometypical marks on the case
