Up for sale is a pair of 18th Century Italian Hand Wooden Carved Gilded Exotic Lions Heads. These were purchased in Paris about 15 years ago when I worked in the interior design industry in New York City. They were actually called Exotic Dolphins Heads but everyone who sees them says Lions Heads. I believe at one time they were the top of a newel on some grand staircase. The very top has the type of wear where it looks like they were touched often. There are blemishes and chipping of the leafing. They are big and weigh about 25 lbs. each. They are very intricate in the carving with lots of detail. I do not have the original paperwork when bought and shipped here but have had them verified by Terry Millerand from Sotheby\'s. These are exquisite pieces and have been gracing the interior of my home for years. I have downsized and no longer work in the Industry and am ready to sell.These will becarefully crated for secure shipping. These are located in New York City and will be shipped from NYC even though shipping says from outside the US. There was not a good option on the drop down menu.
