  • This gorgeous antique Art Deco pin/brooch with “C” style pin clasp is rendered in fine 10K gold and includes a wonderful faceted purple glass stone. Can also be used as a pendant for a necklace and includes a 10K gold chain.
  • The pin/brooch is marked on the C clasp \"10K\" gold and “OB” for Ostby & Barton Co. which was founded in Providence, Rhode Island in 1879 by Engelhart Ostby and Nathan Barton. Engelhart designed jewelry in Norway and the U.S. and was also inspired by jewelry made in France. In 1912, Engelhart was visiting France and boarded the Titanic for his return trip to the U.S. Engelhart Ostby perished on the Titanic.
  • The gold chain is marked “10K” gold and maker “XL”.
  • Although this is a pin/brooch, a chain has been easily and securely threaded to also use as a pendant for a necklace, looks beautiful.
  • The pin/brooch measures approx. 1-1/8” X 7/16” at longest and widest points and the chain is 18” long X 1mm.
  • Total weight for brooch and chain is approx. 4.7 grams (+ or - .2 gram).
