Truly this ring is one of those love-it or hate-it pieces, because the mounting is in no way traditional but it still has the antique appeal to it. The ring is clearly art deco in period. This ring features a large channel set Citrine, measuring 10mm x 8mm, approximately a carat and a half in size. There are two accent diamonds, one on either side--they\'re nice and white and brilliant and add just a touch of something fancy to the ring. The ring is in nice sape for its age, showing only light wear in the way of some very minor surface marks. The only problem to point out on the ring is that the citrine does have a chip on it, right above the cut-line on the emerald cut stone in one corner--I didn\'t even notice it til I was closely inspecting the stone, and from a distance (even from your face to hand) it\'s really non-noticeable. And it absolutely does not detract the fine honey color of the citrine or the brilliance the stone shows!
The mounting is solid 14k yellow gold, weighing 4.0 grams. This piece has more than $95 in the gold value alone, and a comparable piece (if you could find anything like this which I highly doubt) would be $650.
The ring is a size 6 1/2 and can be easily resized.
