Art Nouveau Heart Pendant / Brooch & Earring SetHow very pretty is this? I absolutely LOVE it the pendant reminds me of something you would see around the neck of a red headed siren in a Pre-raphaelite painting.
It can be used as a pendant or a brooch having a straight pin (with protective end cover) so is a really versatile peice of jewellery in itself.
In 9ct gold, this heart shaped pendant is set with 35 natural pearls - 30 seed pearls and one Baroque which hangs suspended in a cage from the bottom of the pendant. I love the open basket work in this piece, there is a lot of work in this hand made design. The central top stone is a beautiful faceted real Peridot.
The pendant is suspended from a fancy chain, I have listed this in the title as 15ct as the clasp is stamped 15ct but when I picked it up I thought it heavier than 15ct so tested it and it actually tests as 18ct and I guarantee it as such.There are matching period earrings in 9ct which originally had screw fittings, I have changed these for 14ct new hooks. They are set with faceted Peridots and seed pearls and make a perfect set. The PendantSize: The pendant is 5cm (2\") in length from the top of the fixed bale (ring) to the bottom of the pearl. Width at the widest point of the heart is 3cm (1 1/4\")
the chain is 17\" long.
